Because of the great interest, our film evening will be repeated on March 22nd at 20.00, again in the Memorial Site at Grosser Platz 4, Bremervoerde.
British camera-men heve recorded the horrible conditions in the Camp one day after the liberation in a short film. Four weeks later, they did visit the camp again, making another film. We also show you three other films, made about the Sandbostel Camp in the last years. The lastest one, made by a Dutch TV Mgazine, was seen by a million people in the Netherlands, creating quite some interest and disbelief.

On April 29th, our annual memorial service will take place at Sandbostel. This time, we’ll remember the French victims of the Camp.

Our exhibition series‘ “Life under the Swastika” third part is under preparation by Wolfgang Sellner and will be published on May, 8th.

On May, 16th, Angelika Achinger will recite in the Camp’s Church on the historical camp grounds poems by the Jewish Holocaust victim Selma Meerbaum-Eisinger. She was a Jewish girl from Czernowitz and lived from 1924 till 1942. She died in a forced labour camp and was buried at an unknown place.
“Reading this lyric makes one cry from excitement: so clear, so light and so menaced.” – Hilde Domin about Selma Meerbaum-Eisinger.
The actress Angelika Aichinger has arranged a theatre performance from these poems. Start is at 18.00 and entrance fee is 5 Euro.
